Accommodations
and Facilities
Students reside in Casa Vostra, which is surrounded by gardens,
fountains and farmlands. Antique furniture and paintings decorate
the rooms, all with private bathrooms. Students will have use
of an Olympic-sized mineral water pool built in 1929, a drawing
room, kitchen, solarium, breakfast terrace, jogging track, laundry
facilities, Internet access and fax machine.
Breakfast
and lunch are included, as are several group dinners prepared
by Villa Lina's chefs, who use organic fruits and vegetables from
the farm.
Villa Lina is an 80 acre farming estate in the heart of Etruscan
Tuscia, with a late 19th century botanical garden and a "giardino
all'italiana" created in the 1930's. The Villa is within
walking distance of the medieval town of Ronciglione and three
miles from the secluded beaches in the Natural Reserve of the
Lake of Vico, where students can go to paint. From the Villa's
gate, a bus will take you to Rome in 50 minutes.
Villa
Lina is surrounded by wonderful Etruscan sites (Norchia, San Giuliano,
Mitrea and the Etruscan Theatre of Sutri), medieval villages (San
Martino al Cimino, Tuscania) and Renaissance villas (Villa Lante
in Bagnaia, Farnese Palace of Caprarola).
